Adoption Stories
In 2010, we estimate that over 450 pets will have been adopted from our shelter. Please help our dogs and kitties
this holiday season. The average cost to provide medical care, shelter and food, before being adopted into a home
and family, is in excess of $300 per animal.
My name was Weiler and I was adopted by Ken and Faye Stocker at the
Brown Cow.  I love my new home but it was so hard for her to decide to
finally take me....Thank God Connie finally just put me in a carrier and sent
me home.  She kept coming to the shelter and visiting and volunteering and
kept peeking at me and petting me but she just could not decide.....I knew
she was crazy about me - she loved the little white spot under my cute little
nose......BUT she was a "dog" person and kept being so wishy
washy......she brought Ken and he really liked me too but then he started to
like another cat as well............ but I put a quick stop to that nonsense and
like I said Connie knew what to do and I am now living in Newport and loving
life.   My new name is Bella - a far more deserving name I think and I am
living the life.  Well I have to go - time for my nap in the middle of their bed.
P.S. the shelter was great but there is no place like home.
