Ways of Giving
| We always need volunteers. Do you enjoy spending time with cats or dogs? We need people who can commit to spending a couple hours walking, playing, brushing our dogs or cleaning brushing, caring for our cats and kittens. If you are looking for a meaningful way to spend some time, please call 754-2228 or come by during visiting hours. Sometimes volunteers do not want to clean cages or walk dogs and that is okay. We more often need someone to help with a fund raiser or someone to organize a yard sale at their home or town hall to benefit us. We do very well selling plants at our shelter sales so we need people to start plants at home and bring them to us all potted and ready to sell. There are so many things that help. We are no longer collecting Shaw's receipts, but you can still raise money for FAS with
your purchases. Simply register your Shaw's reward card annually on line at
www.shaws.com/neighborhoodrewards or call 1-877-932-7948. Specify that your
purchases be credited to FAS (ID number 49001018888. One percent of purchases
made Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will automatically be credited to FAS. This
program has been
very successful for our shelter so tell your friends, family and co-workers to participate
and help raise money for the shelter. Thanks.
